Since 1977, Ecoprint has provided Washington, DC area nonprofit organizations with design, printing, data, and mailing services. Our specialties include printing of publications and direct mail. Ecoprint has created a model of sustainability for its industry by:
-manufacturing its own papers to high environmental standards
-winning a grant with EPA to create a new line of “Eco-inks” that are free from toxic metals
-using 100% renewable wind energy, and investing in methane reclamation projects that removes harmful greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, enabling our manufacturing to be “Carbon Neutral.”
-conducting “green choices” seminars for customers to help educate them on sustainability
-operating since its inception with a “no-layoff” policy that promises the owner must first take a 25% pay cut before any employee can be laid off.
-maintaining open financial statements with employees and reinvesting 50% of profits in its employees and the community.
