About This Project

This project aims to accelerate the adoption of solar rooftop installations across India, contributing to energy security, diversification of the electricity generation mix, and the sustainable growth of the power sector. By harnessing solar energy, the project reduces reliance on conventional fossil-fuel-based electricity, thereby lowering carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner energy ecosystem. A critical enabler of this initiative is the revenue generated from the sale of carbon credits, which supports the financial viability and long-term sustainability of the project.

Each project consists of small-scale solar installations, which may be grid-connected or off-grid. The electricity generated by these renewable energy systems will either be fed into the Indian power grid or supplied directly to designated facilities. This displacement of conventional electricity consumption contributes to reduced dependency on fossil-fuel-based power, aiding India’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

By fostering decentralized solar energy generation, the project not only advances India’s renewable energy targets but also creates economic and environmental benefits, including job creation, reduced transmission losses, and enhanced energy accessibility

Sustainability Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a set of 17 interconnected goals established by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. The SDGs build upon the earlier Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) but are broader in scope, encompassing a wide range of economic, social, and environmental issues. They provide a comprehensive framework for addressing global challenges and achieving a more sustainable and equitable world. This project has the following sustainability development goals that are displayed.
